Ray Feeney Sells Silicon Grail to Undisclosed Buyer

Reported originally by the Hollywood Reporter, VFX OG and multiple Academy Award Winner Ray Feeney has sold the company he founded, Silicon Grail, which makes compositing software “RAYZ”, to a buyer, yet undisclosed.  Many are speculated this buyer is in fact Apple, Inc.

Silicon Grail was founded in 1995 by Feeney.  The original aim of the company was to provide software compositing solutions, that were both cost efficient and optimal for large format films.

We will have to wait and see how the buyer utilizes this new acquisition.
